I'm looking for bits and pieces to detail a sci-if structure I'm scratch building. Is there a good source for these bits? US based is preferred.

Thanks!

Micropanzer has some resin greebles he casts, some doors and windows too I think. Dakkadakka came out with a game (maelstrom edge I think) that has an (IMHO overpriced) plastic sprue of details and at least one door.

MBA has a building modernization kit that might help.

Also armorcast sells tons of individual little sci-fi bits.

And GW plastic kits are a good source of things like lights and on and on.

Try Ainsty Castings, especially their Spy-Fi range as they have all sorts of neat resin bits to fill out a structure.

But be careful, it is very easy to get carried away with their lines.

If it's a sci-fi structure, keep your eyes open for found objects. Actually, keep your eyes open for found objects regardless of what sort of scratch-building you do.

Fluted bottle caps can become HVAC fan housings. A golf ball can become a radar dome. Paper clips can be turned into window frames. Finely corrugated cardboard (like a Starbucks paper cup sleeve) can be made into sliding garage doors. Drinking straws can become chimneys or other exhausts, especially if they have a corrugated section.

Ainsty Castings link does have some great detail parts especially for Scifi interiors see here: link

Antenociti's Workshop also has a bunch of detailing bits, though they're based in the UK. Warsenal carries most of their stuff in the US. warsen.al
