I have a nice collection of 1:6000 fleets (US, IJN, KM, and RIN). I've started down the path of painting and basing 1:2400 aircraft to go with these.

I ended up getting one of every pack that GHQ makes (to include Cold War!)

Waiting to see the look when B-52s strike the Hiryu

Sorry, those are out of scale. You'll have to start over with 1/2400 ships.

I always like seeing pictures of other people's tiny planes.

One thing that almost literally drives me insane while painting tiny scale planes (1/1200, 1/2400, etc.) is the insignia. Japanese hinomaru and German crosses are okay, but everything else is so close to impossible I have to take breaks to avoid spontaneous human combustion. I'm not talking about doing anything accurate, either, just an impression that looks okay from a few feet away. I like seeing how other people tackle that problem.

Just as a joke, you should base some 1/2400 fighters individually, set them out first, and announce "today we're going to play Mustangs and Messerschmitts", then take a picture of the expressions.

Ix, I love your thinking.

I'm just going for basically correct colors. Markings are out of my skill set ( I am NOT doing decals)
