Apparently a command group for the infantry. Incidentally the Victoria Rifles, A Canadian Volunteer regiment based in Montreal, wore green and carried Colours. At least until some Brit general put a stop to that, I think in the 1880's. |

This is a great range and a very imaginative choice of subject by the Perrys. They make a fine command group of course, but, to be honest, not too many British Infantry Sergeants rated a horse in any era. They started out as Perry Volunteer cavalry. Many features mark them out as Arme Blanche.
