I am assuming(always a bad idea) that since the permenat fortifications(forts) were manned by the Army, that the gun carriages(barbette) would be painted per the field regulations. Am I close? TIA, Dave |

Dave, the Ordnance Manual calls for two colors. Wooden carriages were painted the well known olive green, while iron carriages were painted brown. |
