Anyone here saw Roman Empire by Netflix.

Master of Rome is about Caesarīs rise to power. The trailer is already very disappointing. Caesar looks more like Vercingetorix and the battles are the usual pub brawls.I wonīt say anything about the armor of the legionaries.

I was very disappointed with their TROY series.

What could go wrong here? You have to consider the intelligence level of your average netflix consumer. grin

I just checked IMDB (I got rid of Netflix years ago noting my children spent a lot more time reading and playing as opposed to parked in front of what was once colloquially called "the idiot box") and it claims:

"Chronicles the reign of Commodus, the emperor whose rule marked the beginning of Rome's fall "

Is there another series by this name that take on another time period?

(ratings are high but the prime review on the page tells it all (about how horrible it is))

I'm sure I saw a documentary titled "The Roman Empire" at some point.

Season 1 is about Commodus and season 2 is about Caesar. Yes armour is wrong, no lorica segmenta in Caesar time. Other then that it is good.

The Troy series I enjoyed despite the over represented black characters, Achilles was a good actor though.
