Definitely.

p 242 does confirm the calfskin backpacks worn by the grenadier company! Wish there was something about the stovepipe shako persisting to 1815…..

This was one of your (many) better finds.

I think I said that makes up 40% of your postings.

(OK I may have been hard on you, but if you produce something like this, then some will argue that 10% of your work is worth it and the other 90% of your postings is rubbish……I think your contribution here is simply amazing though.)

I stick with 30%, 30%, 40% for rubbish, repetition, stuff that we would never have seen, without you (Grin)

My dear good friend … if we talk about statistics … it is very difficult to set parameters in TMP … as you well say … there will be people who will say that 90% are interested … and other than 90% it's pure rubbish … the important thing is that if only one of our fellow members finds something good, interesting or inspiring … the task will be fulfilled … I have no other intention than to share and show the same stuff that I see and enjoy of our hobbie, the history, etc.

That's why I always appreciate the comments … be good or not so good … and the truth … through time …grateful people far outweighs the critics … this is enough for me.

In your case especially … it makes me very happy that you find even one positive reference … and since you have already found several … well … what else can I ask for? … (smile)

I don't think anyone can tell what people like or don't, unless they can read their minds. And no one can expect to please everyone with every post they make and members certainly should not expect all posts to made just to please them.

There is a wide variety of posts made by many members and you always deliver, which, as far as I can see, most people appear to appreciate and enjoy, including myself. So you carry on with the good work.

No doubt that this Napoleonic forum would struggle to continue, without your input.

Keep up the good work. Wish you would one day show some of your own painting, modelling, battling skills, although I know you have been reluctant to do so. Too modest!
