Considering the scale of most tables, wouldn't an 88 need to be placed in the next room or down the hall? |

I'm sure their crew would be happy if opposing troops obliged and stayed that far away all the time. In Arnhem, a pair of 88's were targetting individual British snipers! |

Very nice indeed. Great work all around on this piece. Mine are models. A really old Bandai and an italeri. I hAve tons of extra crew for mine. Each has 12 and 11 crew respectively. Use in Chain of Command-- objectives. No really reason one o these would be employed to the battle as part of a platoon. So I hVe used them as objectives for the Russians to hit and take out. Now I just finished an old bandai Elefant. No way to use it in CoC. But with the game What a Tanker getting rave reviews I am going to finish up 3 more t-34/76 Bandai kits(I had a rule over the last 5 years or so- I find one on Ebay for less than 15$ then I had to get it) to even the odds up. So something to think about as I have heard that AT guns will be added shortly to the rules for WaT so this could be something to look into. You would want to see Herky's blog for a ton of these games. JH |

Not employed as part of a platoon per se. But certainly frequently on the field of battle in the immediate vicinity of platoon level fighting — at least all along the left flank of the Canadian advance through the Low Countries and into Lower Saxony. That was all close fighting in dense terrain, garrisoned throughout with various Luftwaffe units all of which were supplied at the Divisional level with Flak 88's. When the Canadians faced them in battle, it was always at very close range because that was the only way to fight battles at all in that terrain. I've been waiting for the Rubicon plastic model Flak 88 which is due out very shortly specifically to use in a number of historical scenarios for Bolt Action. |

Anyone have the Bolt Action stats on this 88? |

I don't have the rulebook to hand right now, but the Flak 88 is in the core rulebook. Platform Mount, Super Heavy AT, 7 Crew (IIRC). |
