I know that Jalkaväkirykmentti (infantry regiment) is abbreviated as JR. But what is jääkärirykmentti (Jager regiment) abbreviated as? They can't both be JR. |

Can you elaborate which Jääkärirykmentti are you referring to? I haven't reasearched any but I'm under the assumption that there was NO jääkärirykmentti at all. However, panssaridivisioona (formed in June 1942) consisted of panssariprikaati and 1. jääkäriprikaati. 1. jääkäriprikaati consisted of: -Jääkäripataljoona 2 -Jääkäripataljoona 3 -Jääkäripataljoona 4 -Panssarijääkäripataljoona In addition to the jääkäripataljoonas of jääkäriprikati there also was jääkäripataljoona 1 So, AFAIK; no jääkärirykmenttis and no problem you describe.
Jääkäripataljoona = JP. |
