Played in the last game you ran – great fun – and thanks to whoever passed round the beer.

I played in that game too! I also was thankful for the beer.

I played in the first game – the one in the photo above I think. (Friday 4 pm). I commanded the Austrian Hussars and infantry at the top left on the road. I charged the Hussers into a weaker French light cavalry brigade and got several breakthrough results eating a limbered artillery battery and getting into a divisional reformation area causing fatigue and discomfort to the French infantry.

I bought the rules in the next day!

Congratulations John!
Most or all games too date in AARs have been moving engagements. Which is good and the rules support such much better ( or as a GT level rules should) than most others.

Just wondering when one may see a more traditional battle start ( IE like Talavera or Austerlitz etc) where there is overnight deployment and the troops enter the field deployed?
My Teugen game had more of that but only because there was the meeting engagement of the lead columns followed by the other deploying before entry there after.

Steve and I will be running a BIG game for Fall-In and have started the planning phase.
