The one I built years ago I painted in standard DKM gray (a little darker than USN Haze Gray). Decks I did in light oak (not quite blonde). Didn't try for any camo pattern and the hull below the waterline was straight rust-red, with a black waterline. This was done in the late 1960's and there was not a great deal of information available. |

In the Osprey book 'Kreigsmarine Coastal Forces' they are pictured mostly in pre war merchant marine colours (IE Greys with rust staining, and light oak decks A Google image search under krieg fischkutter will bring a lot of relevant pictures.
