Some pics of the start of a solo game I set up recently with the intention of trying out two different rule sets.

All of the figures are Rank and File, painted by me a long time ago, when I could still paint 15's. old fart

Nice job – Love the Rank and File figures – though the packs always added to the painting time

Agreed. I prefer my figures to carry less equipment to the battlefield. Much quicker to paint.

Nice collection and great job getting the bases to match the ground cover.

Great painting. May be inspiration to paint my Russo- Turkish figures.

Very nice. The rank & file figures look good. Nice paint job and baking. Thanks for sharing

Funny thing about the figure bases matching the ground cloth. Completely unintentional. I painted and based those armies 15-20 years ago. I bought the material for the ground cloth at Jo-Ann's just a couple months ago. Hadn't looked at the RTW figures before buying. Just worked out nicely. My lovely, patient wife sewed it together for me.

RTW is full of good gaming potential. Have you seen the "Last century of the Ottomans" campaign that these Istanbul wargamers fought? (Including a number of RTW battles, of course.)
