Fellow TMPers
I'm looking for 28mm metal sergeants and sappers to complement Three Armies' British standing and marching figures. What are the options? I've looked at quite a few websites, starting with Perrys, but can't find any image or description of BH5, British infantry command – does it have what I'm looking for? Front Rank do a sergeant, but I'm not sure how compatible it would be. Grateful for suggestions.

Hi there,
Check out Brigade Games;
BG-NBR015 British Infantry Veteran Sergeants
One of the four figures is also a pioneer.
Size wise they'll be very compatible although they are peninsular British.
Cheers
Mike

Hinchliffe do these in Belgic shako if thats what you are after. Looks like 2 versions of each. Figures are old designs though.

Thanks both for the quick replies.
Brigade Games sergeants would be great if they had the Belgic shako.
I already have the Hinchliffe figures, but as you say they are old and considerably smaller than Three Armies.

Front Rank has six versions of Sgts. in Belgic shakos with pikes.
Knuckleduster has three versions of Sgts. in Belgic shakos with pikes.
Warlord has a nice Waterloo command set with a pioneer, Sgt with outstretched pike plus two ensigns carrying colours, a drummer and an officer (incorrectly wearing a bicorn).
Brigade Games has a Belgic Pioneer (very nice figure) but it comes in a set with two mounted senior officers.

Foundry has a Waterloo Command Set BO37 that has two pioneers, two Sgts with pikes, one Sgt (Lt Coy) with musket and one officer.

I hope that this helps.

Many thanks for these helpful suggestions, I will check out all those options. Much appreciated.

The Perry ones should work just as well. But I will get to do more commands for my British soon enough. The guy who does all my casting etc had a heart attack recently and is just getting back to work.

If you like, I can give you a ton of Victrix serjeants in whatever shako you need. PM me or contact me through blog

Three Armies – British sergeants and sappers for your own range would be the perfect answer and happy to wait, good health is far more important than toy soldiers.
Lord Hill, that is a very kind offer, many thanks.
