So I am painting a unit of Swedish horse for the Great Northern War, the Livonian Adelsfana. At present though I dont know what the saddle cloths looked like. Any ideas folks? |

Höglunfd gives the shabraques and pistol covers as yellow. Perhaps they were like the Swedish Adelsfana illustrated in Höglund's book as yellow with Blue borders and a blue crown in the shabraque corners. This is what the illustrator of the book on the Livonian Carolean Army "Zem Karla XII karogiem" has chosen in his illustration of the regiment. |
