In related news to the recent posting on the battle for Boston Light, here's some info for the Battle For Chelsea Creek wherein General Putnam sank the HMS Diana for our first naval victory of the war. And we didn't even have a ship in the fight!

Download the dryly title "Final Technical Report" from the Board of Underwater Archaeological Resources here, it's a stunningly detailed history complete with detailed maps of the battle drawn onto of what the terrain looked like at the time. I went to a great presentation on this by the lead archaeologist at the Boston Public Library back when the report was released:
