28% said that your marriage doesn't limit your attendance at conventions or wargame shows. TMP link 20% said it rarely limits you. 15% said you're not married. |

Not really. I haven't gone to any East functions for some time because I got tired of the trip. I do go to smaller local cons. |

I am blessed. My wife, who is NOT a gamer, comes to our two HMGS-South conventions each year and helps out with registration and at the desk! |

Money and transportation issues, not to mention finding a hotel. |

Typical Weekend Con costs @ $500 USD once you include Hotel and meals, let alone fuel. The cost of entry is not the real cost. That and being a couple thousand miles away |

I am with Ceterman. So money and also time divided among other activities. |

I think the group is made a nice distinction between the cost of a convention as it saps from the family budget, Married life and the constraints put on by a wife not wanting hubby to go away, married life. |

If I wanted to go, my wife would encourage me to do so. |

I'd rather be with my wife than at a con most times, but when I want to go she is very encouraging. She knows I need my time away occasionally. |

One of the great blessings of Jan is that she encourages me to participate in my hobby, She wants me to go and enjoys the enjoyment it brings me. Really makes things even better from my perspective. |

I have to say the same. My spouse encourages me to go to cons. Having three locally this year is a plus, but even when they're elsewhere she's OK with my going. Of course, I'm very frugal so the financial impact is minimal. |

> No, but kid functions did. Truth spoken there! Kids are the time stealers. |

Rarely hampers. I mark my calendar and the missus says "I want to go, too!" Keith F. |

No, the wife knows this is one of my favorite pastimes. She'll even attend once and while and uphold the time honored tradition of outlet shopping. |

Rudy posted : No, but kid functions did. My son plays travel baseball and wrestles. it eats up most all of my time. We made Siege of Augusta and NashCon this year because we just happened to have those weekends off. But both were last minute decisions. My wife loves to attend the cons as well. She plays games and is rather ruthless when she gets the hang of things. |
