I suppose Waaauughh should be in there or however GW Orcs spell it. Also uSuthu! The Romans thought this Zulu chant was so impressive they adopted it to use against the Gauls in Hollywood's "The Gladiator ". |

Usuthu. Actually it was the German tribes using it against the Romans in Gladiator, but it was still a cool chant! |

Possibly YAAAH! but I do try to yell something appropriate to the army, so MANN-TO! (Hanoverian, meaning more or less "make it happen!") gets a lot of usage. And my usual query. Has anyone a notion what it sounded like when Hoplite armies "raised the paean" as they closed? |

Baruk Khazād! Khazād ai-mźnu! But I also like to reflect my family heritage with the Clan McLaren battle cry "Creag an tuirc!" (the boar's rock) |

Got mine from an old Western where all the Indians in the world are on the hill crest, their noble Chief in full Hollywood regalia looks down on the column of Bluecoats below, and with a passionate roar he releases his Braves with the throaty call, "Ya-Ta-Hey!!!" Gawd, it sounded great! Then I learned "Ya-ta-hey" is Navajo for "Good Morning." Actually, it's become so ingrained, that when, for example, the nurse botches the venipuncture, or when I got a hypo into the palm of my hand recently, I involuntarily say "Ya-Ta-Hey!" as a stress reliever. But never in my Hollywood Chief's full regalia. TVAG |

Oh, Winston! Why do your Ghurka's cry "Kali!"? Their actual cry is "Aiyo-Gurkhali!" ("The Ghurkas are on you!"). You even hear poor Billy Fish deliver it as he charges to his death, kukri in hand, in "The Man Who Would Be King." |

Sorry, too many thoughts at once…. Another battle cry appropriate for all otherwise unspecified Native forces…"Whadeehoodee!," preferably given at the start of the full bore charge with everything you've got. Finally (?), I confess that I've always had a weakness for the sheer warrior poetry of… "Yo Mamma!" |

"Triple shares for the survivors!" … I play a lot of warlord roles. "Sontar HA!" … I'm short. "Shoot 'em in the back!" … Uncle Fester had a point. "Fair fight? What a horrible idea!" … Miyamoto Musashi has a point, too. "Rawr!" … I play a lot of dinosaurs, too. "Ape shall never kill ape." … to Hell with the rest of you. "Rock the Kasbah!" … I was a teenager when that song came out. "Better dead than Red." … I have relatives who lived that from the inside. "You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too." … Big fan of the Crimean War. |
