I've just posted the briefing for a refight of Ilipa 206 BC using to the strongest. There are quite a lot of photos in the post for the eye candy junkies amongst you.

Lovely! A fun battle and a great battle from history. I ran this last year a bunch of times in 54mm using C&C:A Epic rules.

I don't see any grids. Are these just omitted from the photos or are you using some other method to play?

Leadjunky,

if you go to the blog and click on the pictures and look closely you will see dark green dots at the grid line intersections.
When playing TtS these are immediately apparent, but for the general look they are 'invisible'. The squares are big ten inch ones so the dots are quite far apart.

You don't need to to make your table (using TtS) to look like a big funny chess board. I use the cloth for other games too and the dots 'disappear'. Last night I pointed the dots out to Mark D., he'd played several games on it before using other rules without ever noticing them.

Yep. Had to look closely, but found them. Yes bigger squares make the difference. Thanks.
