For those who may have missed it the RAF Museum opened its three new galleries on 30th June and I went along for a visit today.

Excellent update of an old friend with much improved layout and more space to wander round. Not to mention the only place I know where you can drink Latte while sitting under a float of a WW2 Sunderland flying boat!

New building added and old ones updated and expanded with great Tech based displays.

Also, like the re done National Army Museum, an acknowledgement that the 100 years of the RAF owes as much if not more to the men and women who have served in it, as it does to the aircraft themselves.

Free Admission and reasonable car parking – £3.00 GBP I think (I was on my motorbike!)

Cool !

I haven't been for…wow it must be more than five years.

Time to go!

And Hannants is still next door I think.

Hmmm… I also have not been for a 3/4 years and it's just up the road !

Hannants is next door, but last time I was there, the miniature offering was sparse.

A "Latte"….! You sophisticated metropolitan…..grin Should have been a mug of strong tea sweetened with condensed milk….!

Thank for the heads-up; definitely on the to-do list.

It was looking very tired and unloved when I went about 2 years ago. Will have a look new look.

Well its tired and unloved no more!

For Darrell's info. I wasn't being sophisticated that day.

That's only on days when I have Caramel in my Latte! ;o)
