I've decide to buy another muzzle loading cannon. This one is an M6 Field Cannon.

But this field cannon shoots .177-inch caliber BBs. It's a small enough cannon that I don't have to go to a gun range to shoot.

I must say, I do not approve of the video's abuse of alcohol or destruction of other fine stuff. I will likely destroy some poultry products though with my little cannon.

I'm just a 10-year-old trapped in a 71-year-old body.

God bless,
John T.

No cannon but have a collection of cannonballs….. from small 2 pdr to the massive 48 pdr siege round-shot. When a gamer has option about the effect on a column….. just hand him a real 12 pdr round-shot and let him think on it, after advise to him not to drop on toes.

Muzzle-tov!

I think I'm going to set up a column of 12-15 carrots, three ranks deep, and see the effect. It's all for scientific study, ya know. :-)

I'm pretty sure the recoil is out of scale…

138, I'll have to admit, it'd be a bigger thrill to shoot your cannon.

The recoil is insane better not stand behind when it fires…

Don't know if they are or can still be sold but as a kid my dad had a cannon, could maybe shoot a 1/2" ball

John Tyson29 Jun 2018 4:57 p.m. PST

14Bore, yes Traditions sells a field piece that fires a .50 cal ball. My wife gave me one over 30 years ago, but I've never fired it. I'd have to take it to a gun range to shoot, whereas, the little BB cannon I can fire in my back yard.

I have this .50 caliber gun.

God bless,
John T.

Even my wife said that was cool

OK, so if you fitted that inside a Heng Long 1/16 Tiger so as to fire out of its gun barrel, at what range would it be unable to pierce the "armour" of another Heng Long Tiger?

Probably close to the muzzle, based on the guys doing RC model warship combat. They use 2L soda bottle plastic as interior armor to prevent through-and-through hits. The outer hull is literally tissue paper covered with paint.

I was kinda hoping that you were reporting that you were buying one of the big reproduction cannons from Dixie Gun Works. link (yeah, those are NOT cheap)

I've always thought it would be fun to have a dreadnought with two handguns in each twin-mount turret firing broadsides at another one on a suitably huge pond.

You'd need to find a way to fire more than 13 rounds per tube – or a way to reload without returning to shore. I guess the recoil from say ten such guns firing a broadside to the beam would probably roll your ship over unless you gave it a suitable keel. Fire control would be a laugh.

I don't know if you can see my video on Facebook, but I received my little .177 Cannon on 5 July. I took it to my patio where I had set up an Artillery range. First shot was to range in. The second shot, shown in the video, was almost on the Bull's Eye. What fun to shoot. It made me giggle.

I weighed one of the cannon balls my gun shoots and a single ball weighed out at 8.2 grains. So, my gun must be an 8-grainer!

I hope you can see this video. You'll see the hit in the 10-ring at about the 4-5 o'clock position.

I'm just a little boy in an old man's body.

My sick mind wants to buy one and put it as a hood ornament on my truck. I would always go first at 4-way stop signs!!
