Hey everyone!

I purchased the HC supplement Shield Wall and wrote a review about it over on the blog. Mainly because when I was looking at it there was hardly any info online.

check it out why not?

The Warhammer Ancients "Shieldwall" was a great supplement!

I am half way through reading it now. I felt the same way about the skirmish rules: I would just use a different system for a skirmish game. However, I was still interested to read them as I have become a bit of a rules junky.

I read the skirmish rules because I was a little curious and for the purpose of the review. However I quickly thought of better systems for skirmish combat…
one of the was Lord of the rings SBG which is a great skirmish system (with the magic removed) which the rules borrow from (that zone of control mechanic is straight out of LOTR).

Thanks Stewart – great to read unbiased and thoughtful reviews of gaming products.

Matches my impression of most Hail Caesar products.
