Is it possible to have four 6 point units in a retinue? I know you can't have more than 12 points of the same type. But could you have 2 units of mounted men at arms, and 2 units of foot men at arms?

It's a friendly game, so if your opponent has no objection, then knock yourself out. The key recommendation however is that the retinues be 'historically plausible', so you'll need a good story to explain how your force consists entirely of men-at-arms, with no other troop types present.

Take a look at the 'Hollywood Legends' sample lists on p. 62 for some army lists that ignore the army list restrictions from p.28.

Thanks will. I'm not actually going to do it lol, but I thought I read somewhere that you can't do it. I was rereading the rules, and I couldn't see where it said that.

You can. You could also replace two units with two units of upgraded archers to represent 100 years war or war of the roses English
