Just wondering if anyone has tabletop gamed in the "MYTH: The Fallen Lords" (or its sequel "MYTH II: Soulblighter") old PC real time strategy game setting? link After all, who wouldn't love the idea of various undead nasties fighting various human troop types and their dwarf molotov cocktail throwing allies?!!! I picked up a sourcebook for the setting for GURPS (Roleplay game), which is quite useful, but can see the game more as a skirmish type game, very much in the mould of the PC game. If so; does anyone have any tips for rules (homebrew or adapted skirmish rules might be best to replicate the need to regularly re-assert command and control that was present in the PC game – to stop friendly fire casualties and the like: especially via those pesky dwarf grenadiers!!) or ideas for miniature proxies – I have a few ideas already (for instance the legion troopers are obviously dismounted Norman Knights and the old Grenadier Barbarian ranges would be good berserkers) – but there are some particularly tricky bad-guy types such as the long-limbed scythe throwing "Ghols"… Thanks in advance for any help… |

That is the best PC game ever! It would be great to play on the tabletop. Maybe Havoc or dragon rampant for the rules? Are you tied to 28mm? Demonworld 15mm have great warriors, berserkers, archers, sorcerers, dwarves with grenades, zombies with axes, heavily armored evil knights etc Splintered light 15mm has a good selection of undead and Trow proxies, and some civilians that might make good journeymen. |

I had that game, but for some reason barely played it. Though I still remember the cover art. link Someone on Lead Adventure is doing something inspired by that game. |

Myrkridia could probably be converted from various Werewolves. 28mm would actually be a lot of fun for this…hmm…might have to modify my Landsknecht-WHFB project in the near future. I think the Perry HYW plastics would be a good starting point for the Legion troops. |

Yeah – 28mm suits best by far. I thought Myrkridia were more like Mummies with two bladed short swords?? Anyone got any ideas for Ghol proxies??? |

Myrkridia were in Soulblighter and Myth III. Really annoying to fight. I believe you are thinking of Myrmidons. Ghol's might be doable with modified ghouls from Mantic. It gives you the hunched and emaciated body-type. Maybe use an orc-like head? I'll also be interested to see Fireforge Fantasy Infantry that are coming soon. Might make good warriors as well. |
