Can anyone link me to a site that sells 28mm log cabins? I already know about 4 ground and Pegasus log buildings.

Ceterman24 Jun 2018 12:57 p.m. PST

Hovels, though most (I think) don't have removable roofs:

And Acheson which I think most do have removable roofs:

Thanks ceterman, but i guess I should have specified "with removable roofs". That's a must.

Seems as tho BC & I were thinking the same thing then!

Sarissa Precision

Basic but still nice. Great pricing also. Look under 28mm North American.

Grand Manor has many and they have lift off roofs also.

Thanks for all of your prompt answers. I think that i know where i'm going to go with this.

Ceterman24 Jun 2018 6:56 p.m. PST

Doug, The Grand Manor are beautiful, but pricy. Especially now that they only come painted! But they do kick butt!
Shadow, what are ya goin with? If you wanna tell us…

These guys make nice stuff. Not only log cabins but also Iroquois longhouses.

The Shadow24 Jun 2018 8:25 p.m. PST

Ceterman.

Because of the price, weight (plastic), and the included rustic fence, I will probably go with Bachmann O gauge. Acheson creations log cabins have no chimney! That's pretty surprising, considering how much work they put into the sculpt. Sarissa's log cabin doesn't look much like a log cabin at all! Grand Manor are waaay out of my price range to build a small settlement. So unless something else is suggested, i'll go with Bachmann.

Shadow:Actually, Acheson Creations' log cabin does have a chimney:

They do make a cabin without a chimney:

They also make some log sheds and barns, which of course do not have chimneys. But the cabin does come with an option for a chimney.

Here's another cabin with a chimney:

The ruined cabin has a chimney:

I really like the Vatican Enterprises log cabins ( link ) . They are very light as they are made of molded foam and look very rustic which I like for FIW. They also have some interior details. Sadly, no chimney but if you're doing a small settlement it would make a nice storehouse.

Loved my ones from Conquest miniatures, but don't think they are in production.
