…. Featured at Svidnik Museum.

"Military history aficionados had a reason to rejoice in May, as the Military Historical Museum's department in Svidnik (Prešov Region) kicked off its high season by opening up some its various attractions in the field. Surely that blue-gray PzIV is painted in colors that do not correspond to historical facts?

That describes the vast majority of museum owned tanks.

The colour is what I would describe as "Museum German Grey." I've seen it or close to it in museums and outdoor memorials world wide, applied to everything from artillery, to wheeled vehicles to tanks and other armour that would never have sported anything remotely like it in service. Worthington Park, Canadian Forces Base Borden, had (has?) a Panther, a Hetzer and a Wirbelwind, among others, with similar paint. It just keeps them from rusting and contrasts them with the "Museum Allied Green" that Allied tanks were painted with.

The Panzer IV looks in pretty good condition. I wonder if it could be restored to running order?
