I am thinking of putting together a "Cold War Era – Team Yankee" theme tabletop game based on the 3mm scale. Pico Armor will be used for the units but I was wondering what do players use for the 3D terrain?

I see that GCMini sells some 3D buildings. Do you know of other places that sell buildings in this scale? What about trees, scrubs, etc?

I'm based in North America (Canada) so it would be obviously easier for me to buy from North American based retailers.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Pico Armor also has a line of buildings too. I have used the Monopoly style buildings they sell. I still need to add to my urban areas. I use foliage clumps for woods.

I know this is from the opposite side of the pond, and I do not know if they have an agent in the US or Canada, but this may interest you.

Do look at the peter pig 1/600th naval range. There are city bocks, farms etc. Older buildings, but they should do fine!

Paper Terrain has a 3mm line.

Trees may be best done as forest sections where toothpicks line the edge of the area and clump foliage is put on something thin and then rests on the toothpicks.
Individual trees could be done with thin wire and clump foliage as well.

I don't know what postage is now, but Irregular Miniatures was great to buy from and if nothing else these pictures can serve as an example. link

There is also a company called Skywave that turns out 1/700 buildings , mainly dockyard warehouses , barracks plane hangers etc, as accessories for ship models. I have a few as well as the other ones listed above and they help make the industrial sections of towns and cities. Should be easy to find on eBay or Amazon

Bay Area Yards and White Ensign also had a good selection but it appears their websites are down. Maybe their buildings are also out there on eBay. I have a large collection of pico armour ( and terrain obviously) from a few years back when our club went all out for Cold War Commander in 3mm. Been thinking of rebasing some of the vehicles and trying TY in this scale.
