Here's one out of left field….. Does anyone know what pattern of mobile forge was used by the farriers in the Bavarian Army of 1809 and the Netherlands Army of 1815?. I suspect that the latter used the French pattern, but someone might know for sure. |

Since the Dutch used French artillery equipment, it is reasonable to assume that included the field forge. Not sure about the Bavarians. Probably something got up by Baron Rumford. |
