Really nicely done. Anyone who does Guards deserves respect…..that I now know. He has the brass plate on the cartridge pouch nicely done.


Interesting detail that shows the rounded top to the windows over the South Gate….just as Dighton did immediately after the battle.


Even more intrigued that he has shown some 60th Rifles. I have a brainstem level memory, from early 70s, that there was a single company attached to the Guards. I have no idea where that came from and have never seen a mention since.

But had anyone else heard about a single company of 60th at Waterloo attached to the Guards or did I imagine the whole thing?

um…I think you may have, or maybe it was in a Sharpe novel or something?

If there had been men of the 60th there, they'd surely have been included in the medal roll (and they're not).

So I'm afraid you're going to have to put those red-collared riflemen away!
