What time period do the OG Samurai range represent? I assume this is prior to the advent of the sashimono.

I think they are for around 1200 Genpei War period. There is however one pack of matchlock men which would be much later.

I'm no expert, but I did paint 500 of them . . .

My impression was that they are appropriate for 1200-1380 or so. The range initially did not have arquibuisers when released, and I built my armies without them.

The 'Samurai Wars' range has pretty heavy lacing, which would be Gempei War. Lacks mounted archers, though, which would put the forces typically post-Mongol Invasion (after 1280 or so).

The 'Samurai The Age of the Shogun' are a bit later.
