Does anyone sell (or make custom) decals of a tartan pattern for an Imperial Knight?
I'd like something like this:

Is that Gordon?
I seem to remember decals for plastic 28mm Napoleonic Highlanders from a few years ago.

You can make anything into a decal with $$$ and a Laser printer.

I am sure it would be maddening to paint but rewarding in the end when finished.

Are there blank templates for using a printer? In my mind I am thinking of a plaid shoulder decal….maybe more

Testers sells a decal kit that you could probably get if you have a hobby lobby near you. Having white in your design may give you a problem. You may have to use a white under coat on the parts you want to place the decals on your knight.

Try this.

Tartan shown is for Gordon Highlanders.
Only difference is that the Gordons have a yellow overstripe while you want white.
Or you may want Black Watch and paint your own white stripe.

Apparently the variety is to accommodate the various Victrix body types, and are quite precise in fit.
Obviously you don't care about that, and might be able to get a few out of each kilt.

Paint tartan just like everyone else does.

There are plenty of websites with a how-to available.

Here is one:

Tartan is easy. It's the diced hose that I need decals for.
