All,
I have 6 diecast models I got off of ebay, for considerably more than I wanted to spend. I still need another 4 – 6, but I really don't want to pay more than $10.00 USD each for them. I am after 2 -3 pickup trucks, and 2-3 four door sedans. I need 1/43rd or 1/48th scale, 1930s or early 40s vehicles. Any suggestions?

Have you tried going to a Rail Road Hobby Shop? I did the same searches for 15mm stuff in the past. I ended up going in to several train shops and finding lots of stuff that wasn't listed in the internet. Maybe you'll have the same success going in and looking for "O" scale stuff. My local shop goes to auctions and buys used stuff that they sell cheap. Some of it is only good for the parts box but lots of it is very usable and inexpensive.

Try diecastdirect.com They should have loads of vehicles in your price range.

Thanks, I bookmarked it. Some possibilities for sure.

Size is hit and miss but some grocery stores and CVS pharmacies have a display of toy cars for roughly 6 USD. Some of them are or could pass as vintage vehicles, I think that there were some roadsters and a ups truck that could pass with a new paint job. As ever take a mini with you to check for scale.

Good luck.
