I recently finished a vignette modeled after Carl Rochling's painting of Frederick the Great grabbing the colors of the von Bulow Fusilier Regiment at the Battle of Zorndorf.

Absolutely outstanding and inspiring! Makes me want to play a game with these figures! The faces really add to the presentation.
Cheers!

Agree, beautiful figures! Well done indeed. Looking back at the painting, though, one might wonder how a gentleman of his advanced years could control such a massive colour, in what looks to be a strong breeze, from the near the bottom of the shaft, with just one hand. "Der Grosse" indeed.

The flag is a bit oversized isn't it. Done on purpose. evil grin

Love the rather shocked look on the fusilier's face!

Lieutenant Lockwood, he was forty six! Alte Fritz, isn't that the Leibfahne he's grabbed in the painting? Love the blogpost, lots of useful detail in that.
