Epic Conflicts of the Ancient World: An Introduction to TRIUMPH! Fast Play Rules for Ancient and Medieval Battles Ancients

Take on the role of Caesar, the Great Khan, or Pharaoh of Egypt. Lead your forces against your enemies and battle your way across four different matchups the Biblical, Classical, Dark Age, or Medieval era. This is a walk-up game opportunity FOR WHICH YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE REGISTERED (just walkup if you see an opening). It introduces players to the fast-play TRIUMPH! rules for ancient and medieval wargames. Play a one hour game or play a dozen. TRIUMPH! tutors are on hand to help introduce you to the game, teach and answer questions. Rules are easy to learn. All materials provided.

In January of 1066, King Edward the Confessor dies and Harold Godwinson is elected to the throne. Two other men also claim the crown of England. King Harold must now fight to defend England from two invading armies. Stamford Bridge sees the defeat Harold Hardrada, one down, King Harold must face William Duke of Normandy. The Saxon army deploys on a hillside blocking the road to London near Hastings. On October 14th, 1066 two armies meet in one of the most famous battles in history. New players are welcome, the rules are quick to learn, we do encourage you get a quick practice game in beforehand in one of the 1 hour Triumph Demos!

A Parting Shot, Parthia vs. Rome 55BC Triumph! Campaign Event

Since the Battle of Pydna destroyed Macedonian power, Rome had slowly been filling the power vacuum. Now Parthia and Rome now share a border. This is a campaign event where players take a territory and an army and fight a series of 1 hour battles to build their empire. Loaner armies available for players with PEL tickets, those PEL slots are intended for new players. If you have your own army, please pre-register online on the TRIUMPH forum to have us hold your space. New players are welcome, the rules are quick to learn, we encourage you get a quick practice game in beforehand in one of the one hour Triumph Demos!

201 BC Rome stood victorious over Carthage at the completion of the Second Punic War. Philip V of Macedon had attacked Rome's client states in the Mediterranean. These Greek city-states, led by Athens, appealed to Rome for help. In 197 BC the Roman army of Titus Quinctius Flamininus, with his allies from the Aetolian League, marched towards Pherae in search of Philip. This is your chance to take a side and settle once and for all the age-old dispute of phalanx versus legion. New players are welcome, the rules are quick to learn, we do encourage you get a quick practice game in beforehand in one of the 1 hour Triumph Demos!

There are few glories as glorious as doubles games, where you and a partner compete against another pair of players. Victory is that much sweeter with someone to share it with, and defeat with a partner can lead to blame casting, bitter recriminations, shattered friendships and divorce. What's not to like?!?
So come and participate in the Grand Triumph Doubles Challenge! Grand Triumph is a modification of the successful Triumph! fast-play game for ancients and medieval warfare, where two players on a side run a triple-size Triumph army (144 pts) as listed on meshwesh.wgcwar.com.
Teams are responsible for bringing their own armies and terrain.
