Have you ever attended this event, commemorating the re-taking of Fort Sackville in the Revolutionary War? spiritofvincennes.org

Forager09 Jun 2018 11:43 a.m. PST

Yes. I've attended 3 or 4 times. It is a nicely done event, though the battles don't seem to have much to do with Ft. Sackville. They appear to be loosely scripted, generic affairs with some improvisation and take place in a fairly open field which is broken up by some brush and tree copses. It is the only Rev War event I've attended, so can't really compare it directly to others. However, I suspect that it would be considered small by Eastern standards but decently sized for a Midwest event. Besides the battles, there are various drill sessions, suttlers and food vendors, and some period entertainment as well.
