So, I finally managed to get enough figures, terrain and scenery together and some time to get my first game set in my alternative version of 1790s America played and written up.

Had a bit of a change of locale, as my co-conspirator on this project failed to tell me that he'd already dones a load of work on a campaign set in Maine, so I've shifted somewhat southwards into Virginia.

Bear in mind that not being from Virginia (or America), I may have used a bit of artistic licence…but surely that's what gaming is about? Taking things that didn't actually happen and playing them out on the tabletop.

Anyway, there's something nasty in the woods and the Virginia State Militia has been sent to investigate. Enjoy!

Very cool!

PS. As for Virginia hill country in the 1790s, you might need a lot more trees and bushes.

Except where the land was cleared for farming. Otherwise, why be there.

Great AAR. Seems to me those militia need bigger guns.
