Did any Army Lists (and perhaps rules mods) ever get developed for the Koenig Krieg rules for AWI?

A little Google-fu brought up some references, but I was never able to find any actual data.

My version from 1985 has AWI lists.

1985? I didn't realize it had been around that long. I have V3 by Siege Works Studios (actual file name of the PDF indicates V3.2.0).

No.
It does not suit AWI. Way of fighting, casualties, inless much twicked, , just as well get something at least intended for it.

v4 which hopefully will be released this year will apparantly include AWI , how it plays I have no idea.

"There will be seven books in the new Koenig Krieg series, these are;

Koenig Krieg Ruklebook – with all the lists for the WPS/WAS/SYW, WBS 1730-1789
La Guerre du Roi – 1660 -1730
Freedom – American Wars 1776-1880
Rise of Nations – European Nations 1820-1880
Heresy – 1600-1660
The Sun Never Sets – Colonial wars 1820 – 1902.
Der Grosse Koenig – Campaign and Siege rules"

WoW! I didn't realize KK was still around! :D

I think KK might be fine for the very large AWI battles, but not for the majority of them. It's just a slightly larger scale.

I would suggest "The British Are Coming!", but I don't see them available right now… Maybe eBay?

Mr Steve08 Jun 2018 10:35 a.m. PST

There is the new set of AWI rules on kickstarter at the moment from the people who did the "Over the Hills" Napoleonic set , it's already 75% funded after only a few days.
And the sooner you all get it funded then the quicker I might see the ACW set that is due up next.

The British are Coming? A D100 based game. Uh, no.

Neal Smith08 Jun 2018 5:53 p.m. PST

Any particular reason? Do you think you are rolling a 100 sided die?

codiver08 Jun 2018 7:27 p.m. PST

No, you obviously roll percentiles, 2XD10s with one being a 10's die. I've looked at the charts; there appear to be a large number of modifiers, and combined with keeping track of the math translates into every roll being slow to calculate.

Neal Smith08 Jun 2018 8:11 p.m. PST

OK, suit yourself. It's not really that bad…

Not to thread hijack (but as that has already happened….)

The British Are Coming! are indeed available:

And there is a discussion group for it:

And if one looks in the Files section one will find a D6 version!
