I have noticed Star Fleet Battles only does miniature on Shapeways. I missed out and did not get the 2400 line Federation item # 0277 NCA miniature and I have not seen one on Ebay or Shapeways. Any one here have a spare that they could sell off? US TMPers only for overseas postage is a pain. PM me or email me at missykty@aol if you can help. Thanks for the help in advance.

We absolutely do still have all the metal miniatures that we have had in the past. Some people prefer the Shapeways ones because they are one piece -- no struggling to get the engines at exactly the right angle or having them fall off when another person snags the ship by the engines to have a closer look.

We do say that the 3788 scale miniatures on Shapeways are compatible with the 2400 Starline metal miniatures because there can be a difference in detail or a slight difference in size. Before 3D printing programs, there was no easy way to calculate the "proper" size and some of the ships were "good enough." We can now fix some problems, usually by making them a tad thicker. When the descriptive text says "this ship uses the same engine as that ship," we can make them be the same. That is such an exciting advance in technology!
