Why on Earth would you need a kickstarter for a set of rules? I can see it for a figure range, but a rulebook? |

Winston. Happens all the time. Especially with RPGs. Basically pre-orders. |

Printing is not cheap. Funding affords better quality components. Kickstarter is by far the best marketing visibility available these day. |

Will the rules be available outside of the Kickstarter? |

Hi, to answer some of the questions on here 1. Why Kickstarter = we are a newish (2017) small company with, at the moment, an impact on the wargames scene that is equal to our standing as a new company. We could go out a spend a lot of money on printed books and have them sat in storage with no sales. Kick starter for the moment whilst we grow support allows us to tailor the number of books printed, to demand. This coupled with the fact that the funds KS brings in allows us to create a better product and provides great marketing opportunities 2. Ring Bound does mean coil plastic , it is something that we used on our Forager rules and has gone down tremendously as the edges of the rules do not get bashed about 3. The rules will be available at some point outside KS but KS allows you to get a deal. I hope this helps |
