Hello everyone, I am looking for a WWII Games that will allow me to replay all the Battle of the Bulge from the 16 déc. 1944 to the 25 janv. 1945 on a large map (for example) at the scale of the large independent unit – Battalions – Regiment – Brigade – Divisions. On the other hand I would like the units to be represented by miniatures and models of vehicles or cannon – even tiny ones (but not too much!). Each unit would have obviously its own capabilities depending on its type, manpower and material, types of equipment ect … It is also absolutely necessary that the battles orders of all armies be complete from the beginning to the end of the campaign. A solo game will not bother me. So, such a type of games exists? Exist for the campaign of Tunisia? If yes which ? Thanks a lot for your help Paskal |

Look for GDW's Bastogne scenario book for Command Decision. LOTS of scenarios and a campaign game. |

You really should just find a boardgame that does this. |

Coopman is right. A board game (or computer game) is a much better medium for what you want. |

it would be relatively easy to convert this game to a version played with miniatures. Replace each block with a small diorama. Add some 3d features to an artistic flat map. Voila, a game a miniatures player can enjoy too! link I had a similar idea in mind when I was making these: link A dream deferred, but I still, want to finish this. |

Yes, but most boardgames allow stacking of several counters in a hex and that isn't possible with minis unless you use bigger hexes. |

Yes. I was introduced to wargaming through Avalon Hill boardgames. When I was introduced to miniatures, the first thing that caught my eyes was the lack of stacking. |

WWPD did a campaign with area movement and battles fought using FOW. link Check the forum pages for info or contact the site owner for more info. I also recall a point to point area map for a campaign game on the old Geocities web pages. I have that map on an older PC in storage but no info on how the campaign was managed. |

Boardgame! "Wave of Terror- Battle of the Bulge" from Command magazine is good. Very pretty map, and you could probably transfer counter combats to the table for battles with minis. |

Never said stack the minis in hexes….if you see the game I mentioned in my post,. Nice straw man argument there boys. it uses large area movement. Blow that map up in size a bit and u have the room for minis. I have already successfully done this for Avalon Hill's War at Sea and Victory in the Pacific. Check out my blog for some pics. |

Battle of the Bulge (1991 game) looks good, and Megablitz, what do you think about that? There are no boardgames on the Battle of the Bulge with huge hexes? It is also necessary that battles orders are complete from the 16 dec. 1944 to the 25 Jan. 1945, no unity should be neglected regardless of its size, nationality or the duration of its participation in this battle. |

There is a great one out there for Tunisia. Bit hard to find now: "The Race for Tunis: A CD III Mini Campaign" by Frank Chadwick, Greg Novak, Tom Harris, John Holtz et al. Rue Sans Joi Press. Champaign, IL link link |

I want a game at the scale of the large independent unit – Battalions – Regiment – Brigade – Divisions and I feel like it does not exist? |
