I recently got copies of some Military Training Pamphlets (MTP), including a few designed to try and overcome my fear of all things to do with bridging units. I am still confused though as to what document lists armoured vehicle details. MTP No.74 "Rafting and bridging Part IV" lists all wheeled vehicles, but excludes scout and armoured cars and all things tracked.

Does anyone know which publication includes the AFV info?

Thanks,

Gary

From The Catalogue of British Military Manuals:
Supplement to MT Pamphlet No. 74, Part IV, Classification of A Vehicles, 1944 ["Secret", A7082 (B1538)]

And MTP No. 47, Mechanised Movement by Road, Supplement No. 1, Bridge Classifications of Vehicles and Mechanical Equipment, September 1945 (26/GS Publications/1451). [This pamphlet supersedes MTP No. 74 Part IV 1944 and Part IV Supplement 1944].

Which became MTP No. 42, Mechanised Movement by Road, Supplement No. 1, Bridge Classifications of Vehicles and Mechanical Equipment, September 1945 [WO Code No. 8229] ["new series", MTP No. 47 Supp No. 1 redesignated by ACI 628 of 1947]

Thank you very much, I'll see if I can track down a copy with that information.

Cheers,

Gary
