For years I've had a bit of an obsession with doing GURPS in 54mm. I've been collecting and sculpting stuff for years but I've never really gone anywhere with it. It took forever to get around to photographing them and some shots really didn't work out but here they are. The grey, metallic areas are lead, cast in plaster from plasticine moulds. The green areas are Kneedite epoxy. The white stuff that really isn't photogenic is JB Water Weld which cures faster than Kneedite but only holds detail as well as plasticine. I've got plaster moulds for a dragon and a giant that just need to dry out a bit before I pour metal into them. I'm very excited. GURPS in 54mm is getting closer all the time :D

Thanks, I wish the photographs of the white ones came out better. The next step is corn four and silicon moulds and resin casts that I can assemble and paint. |

They look great to me. Will we get to see them painted up? (I hope so!) |

At the rate I get to these things the universe might not last so long. But my goal is to get some cast up in resin and painted this month. I'm probably pouring the dragon and giant this weekend but if they work, they too will get done in resin. I'd like to do metal but I feel building up rtv gasket replacement silicon would take too many layers and be too prone to not curing properly. Unfortunately catalysed silicon is out of my financial reach. |
