The Nightmare Before Sigmar – Pre Slotta Undead

Another post of Pre Slotta classic minis!
This time we have some Fantasy Tribes Skeletons here for your perusal, Citadel Code C17.
And Wraiths, also from the olde Fantasy Tribes line and are Citadel Coded C18.

picture

Shiver me bones! Here they are in all their skull and bones glory.

Boys and girls of every age
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This, our town of Halloween

picture

The Wraith in the middle is called "The Lord of Darkness"
I really like the wraith on the right with the embossed shield.
There are a bunch more of these solid based Wraiths that Im missing.
But as with all things Oldhammer, if you dont have them already they are either too hard to find or too expensively priced.
Which makes me cherish these three Wraiths that I do have.

This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbors die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween

picture

The fella 2nd from the left is an Undead King, hence the rusty crown on his skull.
I like his "scary hands" pose.
I can almost hear his ghostly boo.

I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under your stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair

The Tribes figures were brilliant. I'm guessing the moulds are languishing in a forgotten part of a warehouse somewhere. Would be brilliant if they ever came back into production

Yeah, I wonder where those moulds are…
Im guessing that the Foundry guys would have them?
Wasnt Bryan Ansell the guy who owned the line before they became Citadel.
Then again, Im guessing he lost the rights either when they became Citadel, or when Citadel was bought out by GW.

I would cry manly tears of joy if the Fantasy Tribes line became available again commercially.

Very nicely done.

"Yeah, I wonder where those moulds are…"

They might be in the same landfill that the Chronicle line's molds were supposedly buried in.

I like the guys with the clubs.

And Patrick I hope no part of that statement is true.
