Before being tango-ed, let me share a review of the new plastic germans from Warlord games:

Nice review. Thanks for that.

I got a couple of boxes. Not a bad set. Would have preferred another Kar98, but will probable use some arms from another set to add the additional rifles as I am looking to use these for early war.

thank you. Indeed, it is not a bad set, I would count it as nicely completely the existing ranges.

Warlord routinely hold a sprue sale (buy 2 get 1 free). And orders ship free at a low threshold. So … people could pick up a weapons sprue or two (depending on the need) and have more weapons to choose from.

Right now, in fact, is one of those sales.

And free shipping if over £10.00 GBP / $15 USD

So are these suitable for Russia 1941/42? I'm guessing so, but I will have to get hold of some more Kar-98s.

Yes they are suitable for early Russia. Main problem is lack of arms with Kar98k's. I recently did some and used the arms from the winter Soviets which are without rifles and used rifles from the German weapons sprue. You need to do a bit of filing and filling to get the Soviet arms to fit, but it works well.

Thanks Fred
