Just wondering what others thought about using Blue Moon Mex-Amer War Mexicans for 1850's Italian wars Italians? What I mean is are any of the poses passable substitutes if painted up as (to be specific) Neapolitans? link |

I made just such a comment almost two years ago when I reviewed the Osprey, "Armies of the Italian Wars of Unification 1848-1870 (1)", here: link The 1848-1849 Neapolitan uniform looks very much like the Mexican uniform to my eye. |

OK Jon, thanks for pointing that out. I had actually saved your comment some time ago but didn't read it in it's entirety until now. I've been painting up 15mm Italians from Mirliton but they mostly seem to be Piedmont oriented. |

You should look at the Freikorps 15 Italian 19th century page . They have some beautiful Neapolitans in small size packets in devalúed sterling and a wide range of units . Vallerotonda |
