Just wondering if these rules would do for LRRP type games in Vietnam where the intention is to recover information/assassination of VC officials, rather that shoot-outs?

Yes they would. That's the style of Black Ops, to have a mission like that instead of a shootout. Sounds perfect for it.

You could play quite a few scenarios with it. LRRPs missions could be lots of fun.
