If anybody is interested I have designs for Boxes that are hexagonal with lids that function as Hexon 2 tiles (2 high and 4 high) so you can store markers without using additional storage space. Has anybody else done similar?
Also we have designed some of the missing pieces. A hex with 2 sloping sides and a ridge hex, 2 sloping sides either end.

Any edge of table fillers so the sides can be flush and straight along the board's edge? (Like Geo-Hex have?)

Like your idea of hex boxes and storage areas.

Dye4minis, I have made standard 2 high hex pieces but not so far half slopes.
I was talking to Paul of Kallistra yesterday at Partisan, apparently he will cut hexes on half if you request it at the time of purchase, he had some on display.
