I played the naval rules and the Division level ground combat. They worked well.

I played the WW2 nondivisional rules at an convention where we did a D-Day scenario & they were excellent. A+ convention rules.
I just do not have any experience with air rules & so could not really tell much from looking them over.
At this point I favor Check Your 6 as a beginning set.

I have played a lot of air rules but did not buy CY6. For some reason I thought they were too putzy. What I prefer are rules like Airwar C21 and the Wings at War series available through Tumbling Dice. Most people argue that altitude rules are a must but they just don't seem to me to add that much to the games without adding more complexity than I desire.
