I've had only one problem with Neal since he started. He made it right as soon as he could. I am sorry you are having a problem with him.

This Neal character sounds like a real villain. He has flat refused to return the monies and been very rude to Mr Squirrel too.

Mr Squirrel needs to attempt a "sort out" before all this anger messaging. Is it likely that Neal has stolen this money and has no intention of being reasonable? Should Neil now be known as a very poor trader who does not keep his word.


If Mr Squirrel wants to bring his anger to a public forum then he should declare who he is and what the history is. If his cause is just, then he will get the moral condemnation of Neal that he clearly wants.

Otherwise it is just angry words x 3. Possibly it could have been cleared up by being reasonable ???

It looks like temper has got the better of good sense??

I've always had excellent service from Neil, and certainly side with him until more coherent evidence is given.

Interesting that a complaint is not valid if the poster hasn't make the requisite number of posts to be considered valid and worthy. Not "angry" but not willing to be ignored. I've called Neal twice to resolve the order without satisfaction being received. When a vendor says he has made the refund and days layer it still hasn't been received thats the doing of the vendor

Not necessarily. My wife is a banker. It takes up to 7 business days (maybe more depending on bank) to receive a refund thru a check or Credit card. Paypal is different.

Neal is an upstanding gent. He will make it right.

To add to John's point above, PayPal states that refunds may take up to 30 days.

Refunds to credit or debit cards can take up to 30 days depending on the card company involved.

Nothing but positive experience with the warstore here. Refunds take time and it's generally the bank or PayPal's issue, not the vendor. Not sure when your original message was sent but it's also worth noting he replied at 7:38 on a Sunday morning. I'd say that's pretty good customer service. I'm not saying your complaint isn't valid, just that you may be upset with the wrong person in this case. Hope it all gets resolved soon for you.

Will we also hear from you a mea culpa for dragging Neal's reputation when it does, in fact, turn out to not be his (or an employee of his) fault you did not have your refund immediately?


I have only known Neal to ever be responsive and quick to resolve situations that a customer was unhappy with, for which they had a valid reason to be so…and even times when their reason was not all that valid.

Checked with tne bank this morning before posting and the banker said nothing showed up. The banker/agent asked all the questions that inquiring minds here want to know and assured me they would take care of it.
Not the first time I bought from Neal but will spend my money else where next time.

I have had excellent service from the Warstore over the past few years (maybe a decade's worth of transactions). Minor problems with orders were resolved (more than once significantly in my favor). I would order from them in the future without hesitation. In fact, I may just order today to salve my decaying self esteem. . .

Being resolved thanks to Wells Fargo Bank. NO MEA CULPA FROM ME, THANKS. Poor communication has lead to this and it wasn't on my part for lack of trying. I ordered from The Wzr Store necause tbey carry a lot of thi gs I'm interezted in but lack of service and poor communication will kill any deal. Ya'll enjoy chewing on uour opinions.

I haven't had any recent dealings with Neal but I have in the past purchased from the Warstore and several times and have always received sterling service.

I also made at least one successful trade with him on Bartertown back before he had the Warstore.

He's tops in my book!

Looks like Mr katemoose has just facilitated a huge amount of positive vibes for the warstore and Neal. I've never dealt with him/them but I would be more than happy to do so in the future now having had the opportunity to read so many consistent glowing testimonials.

You posted it 3 times? Do you think that helps? Listen to the guys above. Call Neal. Its really hard to find something that he can't fix. Did you even read the PayPal refund policy?

Sorry you had a problem but definitely not normal experience for the Warstore. I have been buying from Neal since the early 2000's as well. Pretty rare to have a problem with an order to begin with but he always resolved issues within a reasonable amount of time.

Only outstanding service from the Warstore and Neal. I recommend without reservation. I took advantage of a Christmas sale on Flames of War blisters a few years back, and they were unable to procure some of the Italians I wanted (the sale was NOT limited to items in stock). They promptly shipped the items they had and could get and gave me the option to cancel the rest of the order or wait until Battle Front produced more Italians. I opted to wait. They gave me an update as time stretched. Bottom line was several months later, long after the sale, the Italians finally back in stock with distributors and the Warstore shipped out the rest of my order, charging me the sale prices, and an apology from Neal was thrown in! This for something far beyond their control!

This is all news to me. I've been ordering stuff from Neal since my gosh, at least the early 2000s. Must have placed twenty or more orders with him during that time and I never once had a problem with accuracy of orders, process of payments, shipment or with being informed about back-ordered items.

As has been already articulated above in other posts, refunds do not happen instantly. From the moment you initiate one it takes a number of business days, even a few weeks before a refund can be fully processed. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt this was a case of Neal being negligent or not caring about processing your refund.

I would suggest calming down a little and take a step back from the instant gratification syndrome that our cell phones and other technology has rotted our brains with. Our attention spans have literally been short-circuited thanks to technology and I think this is a perfect example of that.

I am just now seeing this thread. We run 2 businesses, The Warstore and the family farm. It is flower season, so I am working 12 hour days as is Neal.

@katenmoose -- I am sorry you had an issue. We take great pride in our customer service. We are always available by phone and by email. Sometimes email takes just a bit longer. Without further details, such as an order number, it is very difficult for me to research your order and figure out what happened and why. I do know that our bank recently switched merchant processors and some Paypal refunds got trashed in the transition. We thought we caught them all, but I guess not. I am truly sorry you had an issue. We strive to offer the best customer service we can. If you would like, please contact me off the board at sweetie@thewarstore.com with your order details so I can figure out what happened. Again, I am very sorry you had an issue.

The one time I had a problem with an order from The Warstore, it was a manufacturer error. Sent email- received full value of funds plus told to keep the mis-packed pieces.

Count me in a s a pro-War Store / Neal buyer. I just ordered from him a week ago. I'm not a frequent buyer, but I have never had any problems and everything has always shipped promptly.

Ordered some Perry metal Nappy's which meant the order had to be split and some had to be backordered. Good communication, the goods that were in stock arrived swiftly, and the remainder coming as I ordered.
