"The Astute class are the largest, most advanced and most powerful attack submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy, combining world leading sensors, design and weaponry in a versatile vessel.

Confirmation of the build of the seventh Astute class nuclear submarine, HMS Agincourt, and a £2.50 GBP billion pounds investment was announced earlier today.

The class have provision for up-to 38 weapons in six 21-inch torpedo tubes. The submarines are capable of using Tomahawk Block IV land-attack missiles with a range of 1,000 miles and Spearfish heavyweight torpedoes…."

And there's still not enough bunks onboard to avoid having to hot-bunk.

Yeah, yeah, the RN claims that there are enough bunks for each crewman to have his own, but submarines always run a little overmanned due to training. Bleeped text, my Ohio-class was going to have to hot-bunk one time!

Submarines Adroit, Crafty, Cunning, Discerning, Insightful, and Obtuse have been assigned routine patrols in the North Atlantic. The Russians have been observed giving the last-named sub rather a wide berth.
