I've just launched the kickstarter to try and fund a box of 36 hard plastic miniatures for the French infantry of the Seven Years War.
These miniatures have been designed by the massively talented Matt Bickley and will be manufactured by Renedra a world class outfit.

Those look fantastic. Do you have plans for a range? Brits for Europe, perhaps?

eboracomb Sponsoring Member of TMP14 May 2018 7:04 a.m. PST

Hopefully the beginnings of a large range.

Couple of comments – not clear if the pledge price includes postage or not…

There is no discount for ordering multiple boxes of figures – just £20.00 GBP for each box even if you order 10 of them – not any incentive to order a large number.

thanks for adding the link Black hat miniatures.
when you press on the pledge tab the postage costs are revealed.
The cost of producing this kit was frightening and a real shock, if this project is funded it will break even it will only generate profit on a second run of boxes.

Greetings

This looks interesting but I think the campaign summary/description needs to have a lot more detail on what you are aiming for the box to achieve I.e. what options it covers.

Regards

Edward

Thanks – I would mention that postage is added when you pledge.

I agree that you need to detail what will come on the sprue – what is separate? Bodies, arms, heads, swords?

I realise that plastics are expensive to produce but without a discount there is no reason to order 10 boxes except for a very slight saving on postage per box.

That figure does look great and Matt is a great sculptor

Why does the figure come with turn-backs? The vast majority of the 'French' French (as opposed to the Germans and Swiss) did not have turn-backs until near the end of the war?

I too would also like to see details of how many command will be in a box.
Cheers
Nigel

Just did a pledge for 4 boxes.

Very nice sculpting. No problem for turnbacks, it was the fashion in 1760, and there are great and balanced battles this year.

Beautiful! But all are doing French, and the Austrians?

Just got an email from Kickstarter that this did not reach its funding goal so it will not move forward.

This sucks as I was really looking forward to it.
