To Tango01,

I sincerely apologise for my behavior over the last few months, it has been despicable of me to harrass you in messages in such a vile and churlish fashion, and i truly regret my actions.I can offer no excuse or explanation for these actions that would satisfy any civilized person, and i throw myself upon your mercy for forgiveness.

I fully expect that you will move to Dawghouse me, and if you do not, than I request that someone else do so. Should that not occur, I will still be voluntarily refraining from any posts for the duration of the calendar month.

Thank you for your time.

I am not sure what the hub-bub is about but, if Armand wanted to hit the complaint button, he would have done so by now. It is a testament to his character that he takes the high road. Is he still posting, or have you driven him away?

Nick B13 May 2018 2:40 p.m. PST

Well, he posted approx. 30 different threads yesterday so I would assume he's still going to be around.

Sounds like it. Thanks.

I don't know what you did, however your have shown you are a better man than before. Kudos!

Well done Covert Walrus … well done …

You've been cyber-bullying the poor chap for the last few months, you say? I certainly couldn't tell that your misdeeds have affected Tango in any way with regards to his normal activities (nature or volume) on TMP.

JimSelzer13 May 2018 4:19 p.m. PST

I keep saying Tango01's posts are like a traffic accident or house fire I should not look but I can't help myself

PatrickWR13 May 2018 5:24 p.m. PST

Fascinating. I've had Tango muted for years, so this stuff just passes me by.

Leadjunky13 May 2018 6:14 p.m. PST

I had him ignored for a few years, but felt I was missing out on a rare thread here and there. Now I just try to filter though them as best in the odd chance I find something interesting. I have found a few of late. Thanks Tango.

I also block him. Totally forgot about T until now. Thanks for reminding me why I blocked him.

Cacique Caribe14 May 2018 1:10 a.m. PST

I've bought lots of figures and other bits thanks to Tango's posts. And tried out some innovative scratchbuilding techniques too, from information he linked to on his threads. There are lots of people here who contribute far less than Tango, and I have no problem with them either.

I really didn't feel any reason to ever hit the ‘Stifle' or ‘Ignore' buttons on anyone on TMP … until I had enough of one particularly snobby idiot just recently. My experience on TMP has become significantly better since I blocked that harassing stalker.

I am a great fan of Armand's posts. For me they run the full gamut of "fun or useful info" on one hand to "not interested in this" on the other. I appreciate the useful stuff but am able to let the other stuff pass by without forming a detrimental, emotional attachment to it.

Ceterman14 May 2018 5:51 a.m. PST

Tango is one of the reasons I'm here. I'm sure many of you have me blocked also. But I couldn't care any less. Keep it up Tango & Thanks!

Earl of the North14 May 2018 6:21 a.m. PST

Glad to hear the Stifle/Ignore option worked for you Dan, I also occasionally get some good stuff from Tango's shotgun posting style. I've defended Tango in the past and refused to back attempts to get him out of the dawghouse when I've felt he done wrong. Thankfully the Stifle/Ignore allowed those of us who hate his posting style to carry on with our TMP experience while those of us who have no problem with it can continue to get the occasional nugget.

As for the op, Covert Walrus kudos for admitting your error and seeking to atone.

I don't have a problem with Tango or his posts … If I see a topic that does not interest me … I don't click on to it …

Jcfrog14 May 2018 7:48 a.m. PST

There are not so many things here that one needs to keep out any, just don't open what you are not interested in.

Ceterman14 May 2018 9:27 a.m. PST

+2 Legion 4. Exactly…

MajorB14 May 2018 11:04 a.m. PST

In any other forum his behaviour would have been regarded as spamming and he would have been blocked long ago.

Happily, we have the Ignore feature.

Tango0114 May 2018 11:14 a.m. PST

Of course, accepted apologies … the truth is that I do not retain in my memory the aggressions that are spilled here …. life is too short and intense to sit down to meditate or get angry for them … nothing has happened here … let's move forward and I hope that each day we have more respect between fellow members and enjoy healthily our hobbie / books / history … etc …

I do not agree to request a dawnhouse for you … my friend … and neither that you take a month of "self-punishment" … more than enough with your public apologies and I hope to read about you very soon in the Forum….

Finally, thanks for the support from my friends here….

Over the years Tango has dug up some really interesting stuff, along with much that is not of interest (both just my personal opinions).
If one of his posts turns out not to be of interest- no problem- it's 10-20 seconds of one's life to determine that and move on.
I for one am very pleased that he takes the trouble to at least present us with the material to make our own choices.

I wish there was a Tango board of "not related to miniatures gaming". The postings of miniatures stuff is useful, but too many generic history items.

LORDGHEE14 May 2018 2:42 p.m. PST

love Tango!

Hats off to Tango and to Covert Walrus. Both are gentlemen.

A few years ago a guy who had wargamed with me for years used a purposefully insulting term to describe me. He knew it bothered me and he should have known it was improper. Everyone else did. But he never had Covert Walrus' character to apologize even privately, let alone publicly.

Many of Tango's posts, like many others on this forum, are of no interest to me, but many are of interest. So I am glad he posts.

Good show, both of you!

Stealth100015 May 2018 7:36 a.m. PST

Tango has put me on to some great stuff. I know he repeats stuff that has been in the news feed but I sometimes miss that. And I catch it in his posts. He is a great TMP'er as far as I am concerned. And good on you for that apology. Take's a man to say sorry like that.

Tango0115 May 2018 11:09 a.m. PST

Thanks again my friends… (smile)

Some of Tango's stuff isn't my interest.

More often (hell, almost always) it's not in my scale.

But I've found it's almost always worth looking.

And my hat's off to Covert Walrus for a public apology!

Uparmored23 Jun 2018 2:50 a.m. PST

I enjoy Tango's contributions. Thanks man.

I come here to read and it doesn't matter to me who posts what. Tango posts things that I enjoy so more power to him.

Some of the folks on this forum forget this is not life or death. We're talking about toy soldiers here. Relax.

huevans01126 Jun 2018 4:45 p.m. PST

Why would anyone have an issue with Tango? He posts a lot, but no one has to read all his posts.

And much of what he posts is interesting an useful.

Why would anyone have an issue with Tango?

Some people don't like the country he's from.

I don't think anyone has ever mentioned his nationality as an issue in the (many, unfair) threads criticising him, have they – unless I've missed something, it's always been about the sheer volume of posts?

For my part, Tango has often ‘caught' interesting stuff that I'd otherwise have missed, so for that, a big ‘thank you', Sir!

capncarp29 Jun 2018 10:10 p.m. PST

A hearty "Hear, hear" to Covert Walrus, who has shown the manliness to admit his errors in public with grace and sincerity.
And while Tango's postings can be somewhat…Flow-tide(?) in their voluminousness, I must admit his energies complement my inertia in seeking new figs and new websites; to boldly go where….oh nevermind.

Tango0129 Jun 2018 10:19 p.m. PST

Thanks my friend!.
